The Values That Guide Me

Reiki brought me back to myself. My core values and beliefs became clearer. I started honouring them more in my everyday life.

Inspiring Impact

Guiding people to connect with themselves on a deeper level, allows for an incredible ripple effect. Healing one, heals many. I love to both inspire and be inspired and I have been so humbled by this.

Ongoing Improvement - Yogi Webflow Template

Ongoing Improvement

Healing is not linear. We are all both teachers and students. Insights achieved in every session teaches me something. I am merely a channel and committed to constant learning and growing.

My Reiki Background

I became a Certified Reiki Master and Teacher in February 2023. I had my own first Reiki session (online) as a client during the pandemic. My experiences led to a knowing that I was on a path to becoming a healer myself.

I am certified to teach Reiki I, Reiki II & Reiki Master, Teacher. I was attuned to Golden TeraMai™  Reiki by Alvagh Cronin who was, herself, attuned by Kathleen Ann Milner. The latter holds the worldwide Trademark for all TeraMai™ Reiki. Her lineage traces back to Takata and to the original Japanese Reiki Master, Usui. I started my path with the Eastern teachings and continued my journey to discovering and attuning to Golden TeraMai™.

I am committed to continuing my own journey through self-study and practice, all which  informs on-going creations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Based on typical questions and concerns that can arise I hope the following will give you a clearer picture of what Reiki involves and what to expect. If there is another question you have, contact me.

What is Reiki and how does it work?

Reiki is an energy healing technique that originated in Japan.
It promotes relaxation, reduces stress, pain and anxiety through gentle touch or channelled energy.  Reiki practitioners use their hands to channel this energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing.

Does it work online?

Yes, I had my first Reiki experience, myself, online. There are no barriers to energy healing. You can check out reviews from clients of mine who have had sessions with me online, some of whom kept up fortnightly or monthly appointments over a number of months and can attest to its increased benefits over time.

What payment methods are available?

If booking an in-person session, class or course you are welcome to pay in cash. Alternatively and for online clients I accept payment by Revolut, Stripe, PayPal and Bank Transfer.

Do you accept payment plans?

Reiki Courses can be paid for in installments if that is a more viable option for you. Please mention this in your booking request.

Do I have to be 'feeling OK' or 'feeling bad' to have Reiki?

Some people claim they don't need Reiki because they feel well. Others say they want to feel better before they have a session since they don't feel strong enough. Reiki is for anyone at any time. You don't have to be a certain way. You don't have to feel 'bad' or 'well enough'. Reiki works how it needs to at any moment of your journey.

What if I have an injury or physical condition?

I recommend clients let me know before or at the beginning of a session so I can be aware of it and avoid placing my hands directly on certain areas, if not desired or to accomodate you as best I can.

What do I need to do before my session?

You will be completely guided and put at ease on arrival.
I recommend wearing comfortable clothing. What could support your session is giving yourself a few minutes beforehand to check in with yourself: check how your body is feeling, take note of any thoughts, emotions, or physical sensations you are experiencing. You may also want to consider any intentions you want to set for your session or details you would like to share before we begin. This could lead to quick insights during the session or a more focused healing on a specific issue or body area. To be comfortable and not distracted by potential hunger or thirst, make sure you have eaten at least something light and had water a few hours before the session.

What can I expect to happen during a session?

In a session the client lies fully clothed on a massage table while the practitioner gently places their hands in positions around the head and shoulders, the abdomen and the legs and feet. The hands can also be positioned an inch or so away from the body (if more comfortable for you or in the case of an injury.)
Everyone responds differently to a session and it depends not only on the client but on the day. You could have different experiences each time. Some clients experience heat or cold energy, tingles, a popping sensation if a chakra is opening, flashes of colour or visuals. Many become deeply relaxed. Some can release something from their bodies, becoming slightly emotional in the process. Some even giggle or fall asleep. Some experience nothing but a state of relaxation. The energy is always working regardless.

How might I feel after a Reiki session?

It’s important to give yourself the opportunity to integrate what may have arisen in the session. I recommend taking a few minutes to meditate, sit in your car, go for a walk in nature or take a nap following a session. It's important to hydrate too and you may feel a bit tired.

How many sessions are recommended?

The recommended average number of sessions for deep healing is 3-4. One is usually not enough. Clients experience a more noticeable change on the second session. Further sessions can deal with deeply rooted issues such as those concerning trauma.

What's the difference between in-person and online sessions?

The main differences relate to convenience and comfort. Those who wish to connect from home feel the benefit of saving time and being able to book an appointment at a more convenient time - early morning, lunch time or some book a later evening appointment ahead of sleeping to maximise the healing and restorative benefits. Those who visit in-person prefer the inviting environment and scenic views, the closer, intimate contact and physical laying of hands since they find touch more comforting and healing. Those who find that potentially intrusive may prefer a more discreet online session. I have clients who have experienced both and depending on the person and their personal comfort, found the energy to be more noticeable and intense either in their own setting or in my space. It is personal and depends on how receptive you are at a given moment.

Is there any research or scientific data that proves Reiki works?

The Center for Reiki Research (CRR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to Reiki research. It promotes the scientific awareness of Reiki by conducting quality research and providing an updated archive and summary of all evidence-based Reiki research published. The CRR also offers guidance and direction for researchers, practitioners, and clinicians that want to conduct Reiki research.

Can I book a session for another person?

Gift vouchers are available for purchase on another's behalf and appointment's can be made in another's name as long as the details are clarified in the booking submission.
